JOPOS

JOPOS

Reeds, bulrushes, cattails, and similar wetland plants—I simply call them “jopos.” They’re easy to find: wherever there’s a wetland, there they are.

Born from water, hidden inside the heart of a seed, over time they grow flexible, green, always green. They may seem still and motionless, but with the wind they become fleeting and alive—unpredictable in their dance.

I aim to capture the wind weaving through the jopos, their trails and movements. With the sun on the horizon, their silhouettes stand out, and with the right background, I create a thousand textures.
